On the morning of May 12, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Phan The Tuan chaired a meeting with the Counselor of the Korean Embassy on investment projects, development of urban complexes and industrial zones on the basis of G2G cooperation of Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH Group), and discussed related cooperation plans.

On the side of the Korean Embassy, attending were Counselor for Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Youin of Korean Embassy in Vietnam; leaders of LH Group and members of the delegation.

On the side of Bac Giang province, attending were representatives from the Departments of Planning and Investment, Construction, Natural Resources and Environment, Finance, Industry and Trade, and Foreign Affairs; Provincial Management Board of Industrial Zones; Office of the Provincial People’s Committee.

At the meeting, informing about LH Group, a representative of the Group said that with a lot of experience in developing new urban areas, industrial zones, special economic zones, public housing and urban reconstruction, LH Group was a leading corporation in developing technology solutions in smart city construction as well as applying technology solutions to the development of new cities and housing. In Vietnam, the Group was implementing a clean industrial zone project with a scale of more than 140 hectares in Hung Yen province.

Appreciating the opportunities and development potential of Bac Giang province in the coming time, the representative of LH Group suggested and proposed the investment cooperation orientation of LH in Bac Giang.

On behalf of the Provincial People’s Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Phan The Tuan welcomed the delegation to visit and work in Bac Giang. He highly appreciated LH Group’s scale, implemented projects and experience in developing new urban areas, industrial zones, special economic zones, public housing and urban reconstruction. At the same time, he introduced the potentials, strengths and favorable conditions of Bac Giang province for investment, industrial and urban development.

Informing about the results of socio-economic development of the province in recent years, he said that the annual economic growth rate of the province was always in the group of leading provinces in the country. The province’s investment attraction was always at the top of the country. Currently, the province had more than 490 FDI projects with a total investment capital of over 9 billion USD, of which Korea ranked first in terms of the number of projects with 321 projects; second in terms of total registered capital with nearly 1.4 billion USD.

He affirmed that Bac Giang province always welcomedand commited to creating the best investment environment for investors in general and businesses from Korea in particular by fully applying highest preferential investment policies in accordance with national uniform regulations.

He wished that the delegation would continue to pay attention to, cooperate with and support Bac Giang province in introducing and promoting its potential advantages and investment attraction policies. Connect and introduce reputable, experienced, financial and high-tech corporations and investors of Korea to learn and invest in projects in the province. Cooperate and support the province in planning and building smart cities; attract investors to invest in developing smart cities.

Speaking at the meeting, Counselor for Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Youin of Korean Embassy in Vietnam highly appreciated the cooperation potential of LH Group and Bac Giang province. In the coming time, Mr. Kim Youin hoped that the two sides would soon implement cooperation, sign a Memorandum of Understanding as well as have more opportunities to enhance coordination to exchange and convey Korea’s experiences to Vietnam.

For the province’s recommendations, the Counselor agreed to support the promotion of investment information of Bac Giang with Korean localities and businesses, realizing the potentials of the two sides into reality. At the same time, the two sides should increase meetings and exchanges to strengthen the relationship.
