Hanoi MRT routes in Vietnam: The first 2A route will be officially opened in 2021
The first MRT line in Hanoi, Vietnam is Line 2A (Cat Linh – Ha Dong Line), which will be officially put into operation on November 6, 2021. Since the start of construction in 2011, with the support of Chinese loans, the construction period has finally been completed after 10 years , was officially opened after being handed over to the Hanoi City Government by the Ministry of Transportations of Vietnam.

A total of 8 light rail lines and 3 monorail lines are planned for Hanoi’s MRT road network. The elevated 2A line will be opened to traffic first in 2023. It is expected that Line 3, Line 2, and Line 1 will be opened sequentially.
Line 1″ Ngoc Hoi – Yen Vien – Nhu Quynh: The total length is 38.7 kilometers.
Line 2″Noi Bai – City Center – Thuong Dinh: total length 35.2 kilometers. The backbone route in the center of Hanoi, connected to Line 2A.
Line 3″ Nhon – Hanoi Station – Hoang Mai – Son Tay: The total length is 48 kilometers.
Line 4″ Dong Anh – Sai Dong – Vinh Tuy/Hoang Mai – Thanh Xuan – Tu Liem – Thuong Cat – Me Linh: total length 53.1 kilometers. A circular line connecting Lines 1, 2, 3, and 5 in series.
Line 5″ Nam Ho Tay – Ngoc Khanh – Lang – Hoa Lac: The total length is 34.5 kilometers.
Line 6″ Noi Bai – Western wew urban area of Ngoc Hoi: a total length of 43 kilometers. Connect Lines 4 and 7.
Line 7″ Me Linh – Western new urban area of Nhoi – Van Canh – Duong Noi: total length 35 kilometers. Connect lines 4 and 6.
Line 8″Co Nhue – Ring Road 3 – Linh Nam – Bat Trang – Duong Xa: The total length is 28 kilometers.
