The rail system of Hanoi Metro Line 3 belongs to construction package CP8 – 3rd rail system and the contractor is Colas Rail from France. CP8 includes the entire rail system of the line and electrical rail system (3rd rail) at Depot. The system stretches throughout 12 stations, including 8 elevated stations and 4 underground stations. This construction package passes 6 districts of Hanoi: Bac Tu Liem, Nam Tu Liem, Cau Giay, Dong Da, Ba Dinh and Hoan Kiem.
Until January 2020, CP8 progress reached 52.6%. The rail system for elevated section is basically completed.
