The construction package CP08 – 3rd rail system includes design, supply and installation of the 3rd rail system by Colas Rail. After over two years, CP08 construction progress has reached nearly 90%. In particular, the installation of power-supply rail and elevated section’s lane switch line is 94.6% completed, and that of power-supply rail and switches in Depot is 87.1% completed.
To ensure high quality standard, following key components in this construction package are imported from Europe and meet strict requirements for mega urban projects in Europe:
• Rail track provided by Evraz from Russia;
• Rail equipment by Pandrol from UK;
• Transit lanes by Vostalpine from Austria;
• Electrical cable system by Railtech from France;
According to Mr. Pascal Banos – CP08 Project Director, Colas Rail started concrete casting in April 2019. In the next months, they will complete all components. Up to now, the construction time has reached r 11 months and met the projected timeline and progress.
