The operation of Metro Line 3, Nhon – Hanoi Station Section will require about 40 train drivers, most of whom will be trained in Vietnam. According to Mr. Hoang Ngoc Minh, Deputy Director of Hanoi Metro Company, all drivers must meet the following requirements:
• Age: 22 – 40;
• Educational background: Highschool degree or above. Those with relevant certificates, good English and born in Hanoi will have an advantage;
• Possess technical knowledge and experience;
• Have good judgement and can handle emergency cases.
The drivers will go through the first training phase in Vietnam, and then the contractor will choose six drivers to be trained in France. These drivers will be the core team and train the others in Vietnam later.
